Remember when the late 80’s/early 90’s Pistons were the bad boys? When Billy Martin was the bad coach? When Detroit listened to Sparky Anderson? When Dennis Savard was the last NOT to wear a helmet (because he was grandfathered in)? When they always gave the ball to Walter (except Super Bowl XX for the touchdown). When Buffalo lost four Super Bowls, but had Steve Tasker? Now that I have your attention, look up the 1956 University of Wyoming baseball stats. They made it to the college world series with a 16 man roster. My uncle was the all-american on that team. He was signed with the Reds, and, unfortunately, he died in an automobile accident before he reported to spring training. His name is Don Napierkowski–and I KNOW you would love his story. Good Polish boy from the south side of Chicago who taught himself to be a switch hitter–
